A sweatshop is a place where people sew garments for an extremely low wage under poor conditions that often include basic violations of human rights. Many of these ‘sweatshops’ exist so that garments can be fabricated inexpensively and efficiently at the expense of the workers. We believe in the importance of treating each employee fairly. Each bag is hand-sewn by local seamstresses that get to work in their preferred environment including a fair wage. We see our employees as our partners and important people with lives that matter, not just means to end.
